Hi, I'm Laura Walker
I follow my intuitive guidance & my heart.
I am grateful to be here, on this planet at this time, with the intention of being embodied in the present moment.
It hasn't always been easy to feel embodied. I spent most of my life growing up in a state of anxiety and disconnection from my body, my emotions, my voice and with a major fear of speaking my truth.
I give endless gratitude to the many mentors and teachers who have deeply influenced me, to mind-body somatic counselling, coaching, meditation, spiritual texts, indigenous wisdom, wise woman ways, permaculture, energy healing, sound healing and plant spirit medicine ceremonies that have supported my personal healing journey.
I feel drawn to support people healing from trauma because this is where my deepest growth & learning has been. It's important to me to show that healing is possible, because it can be difficult to see a way through it at times.
I used to experience a lot of pain, shame and uncomfortable trauma responses in relation to my sexual experiences. I am in awe & reverence to the power of energy healing, tantra, counselling, coaching and medicine ceremonies and I am infinitely grateful to be where I am now. I can happily say that I've gone from having traumatic to transcendent sex. Because of somatic healing I have been able to make more empowered choices that help me stay centered & embodied.
It has been a similar journey with my voice. I used to be terrified of singing or playing music in front of people, so I just wouldn't do it at all, even though that is what I loved to do the most. The fear, anxiety and judgement still surface, but I don't base my decisions from those feelings anymore. It brings me much joy to support people in their embodied expression & empowerment.
I am currently a guardian at the women's temple Ceu Das Sereias on the Sunshine Coast, B.C.. We work with plant spirit medicines as well as with the medicine of music. We come together in ceremony to unite our voices, to drum together and create a powerful & cohesive heart field, magnifying the power of our healing intention.
I am also a member of the Flying Sage in Vancouver, which is a paradigm shifting hub for psychedelic advocacy, awareness, education and empowerment.

I studied Counselling and Life Coaching at Rhodes Wellness College, it was an experiential learning journey and condensed time of personal development. My original interest in self-mastery began when I was 20, 14 years ago, when I started to practice Buddhism. I've been studying tantra and energy healing for 10 years and non violent communication for 8 years.
Prior to this I studied at the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In the foundation year programme we studied the history of written thought from a Western Perspective from ancient Mesopotamia & Egypt to contemporary times, studying paradigm shifting thinkers who influenced the world view of the eras. It was kind of like going to school at Hogwarts since you could choose to study Magick & Alchemy..!
I have been playing music since I was a child, though the journey has shifted from exam oriented, classical training in piano to giving myself permission to create & flow on the Celtic harp and other acoustic instruments and to just having more fun in general.
I wouldn't be able to complete my bio without acknowledging my love for the earth. I had an Ecological & Edible Landscaping business called Gaia's Guild, where we design, install & maintain landscapes that enhance biodiversity, beauty, soil health, while growing food, medicine and creating wildlife habitat.
I am also a core member of the Sunshine Coast Seed Saving Collective, where I can get really geeky about rare plant varieties with people that get me :) I love being in my garden!

I love working with visionaries, change makers, artists, musicians, spiritual & eco entrepreneurs & leaders. I see the big picture and love to help people get clarity on what brings you joy & inspiration, as well as a sense of peace, love & acceptance in the process. If you want to work with me or collaborate, I would love to hear from you!
Wishing you well,
Laura Walker
